Nitasha Thompson

In 2000 Nitasha worked on the higher education topic, “Does the Vision For The 21st Century Include the Border?” In 2001, she worked on “Feasibility of the Border Health Institute,” and in 2002 was a supervisor for the project, “The American Dream/El Sueño Americano: How Does El Paso, Texas Fare in the Home Mortgage Lending Market?” Nitasha is a graduate of Burges High School (2001) and graduated from U.T. Austin in 2004 with a B.A. in biology. She is currently attending Texas A&M Medical School in College Station, TX. According to Nitasha, “I sincerely feel that CS has been an integral part of my achievements thus far. It has given me a platform to build my own opinions and vision for what I would like to do to help my community in the future. In addition, as a leader in the medical field I believe I will be able to contribute to helping to fix some of the problems with healthcare, no matter how big or small my contribution may be."
